Project Manager: Plumbing/HVAC

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The project manager is responsible to organize, plan, and schedule all aspects of the project. Ensure that the project is completed within the time and cost limitations of the project. This position requires an effective leader with the ability to respond rapidly and efficiently to the requests and requirements of the project team. This role will be responsible for small to moderate sized projects up to $250,000. This position will be primarily focused on commercial plumbing jobs with an occasional commercial HVAC project.
Job Duties:
Review bid documents with estimator to discuss and understand the estimated scope of work.
Review contract documents completely and have full knowledge of the companies responsibilities and requirements in the completing the scope of work.
Finalize negotiations with subcontractors and vendors.
Complete purchase order requirements along with any special needs of the project.
Review and plan job with project foreman to develop a plan to complete project on time and within budget.
Provides estimate of manpower needs for projected project schedule.
Review & adjust the project budget as needed.
Prepare and execute on change orders.
Communicate effectively with foreman all information needed to compete project.
Work with PMA on submittal process.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Strong organizational skills.
Thorough knowledge of project management and mechanical contracting.
Ability to manage large volume of complex work simultaneously.
Computer skills are required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
