Your Team

We are growing our Commercial Processing Support team in Harleysville, PA where we do the legwork of analyzing member insurance policies!

We have fun here working together as a team while also valuing individual contributions. Engagement and initiative are the keys to ensuring customer satisfaction ? correct product placement the first time, every time.

The main goal of this team is to deliver quality, efficiency, and accuracy to exceed our members' expectations.

Reporting Relationships: You report to the Commercial Processing Supervisor; you have no direct reports.

You should also have:

-A high school diploma ? and preferably some college coursework

-One year of related work experience in a service-oriented position

-General knowledge of insurance policies and practices, preferably commercial processing or services support

Job Summary

A typical day in the life of a Technical Clerk:

-Reviewing and analyzing commercial, farm, and/or specialty lines risks against established procedures and best practices

-Performing rating/coding for quotes, new business, renewals, and policy changes

-Ensuring submitted document compliance and accuracy by communicating with agents, underwriting, and applicants

-Maintaining knowledge of state-specific processing procedures, systems, pricing guidelines, eligibility, and team concepts

-Referencing coding manuals for appropriate premium calculations and policy master file revisions

-Correcting errors or recognizing premium refund instances

-Checking production reports for accuracy

-Jumping in to complete other tasks as needed

Training & Work Schedule

Your career at Nationwide begins on December 3rd, 2018 with a 4-week award-winning training program that is designed to set you up for success and confidence in your new role. Your work schedule will be Monday?Friday, 8:00 a.m. ? 4:30 p.m.

Job Conditions

A fun office environment where extended hours of sitting and typing at your PC, complete with dual monitors, are the norm. Occasional deadlines and member needs may warrant schedule flexibility and overtime. On the odd occasion, you may have to lift something more than 20 pounds.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education:? High school studies; technical school studies in personal computing and software usage.

Experience:? Two years in general office environment that includes writing, proofing, and use of basic mathematics.? Prefer one year of personal computing and experience in a related function area.

Knowledge:? General office practices and procedures, basic mathematics, familiarity with office filing systems and record keeping procedures, and problem-solving techniques.

Skills:? Operate personal computer and related software. Basic keyboarding skills. Oral and written communication skills used for interaction with all levels of employees and/or external sources. Perform basic math and operate calculator. Ability to set work priorities and recommend solution to general work-related issues. Ability to operate standard office equipment and create/maintain filing systems.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
