North Penn YMCA- Indian Valley Family YMCA North Penn YMCA- Indian Valley Family YMCA Harleysville, PA Harleysville, PA Part-time Part-time $11 - $16 an hour $11 - $16 an hour The Indian Valley Family YMCA is looking for spirited and fun Youth Sports Instructors with a passion to teach a variety of sports to children ages 4-12 years.
Applicants must have general knowledge of Soccer, Basketball, Dodgeball, Hockey, Volleyball, Kickball and/or Flag football.
Must be attentive and bring excitement to all classes keeping children engaged and eager to participate.
Qualifications High School Graduate or equivalent (Preferred) Experience/knowledge in various sports Must be 16
years old (needs to have own reliable transportation) Effective Communication; written, oral and through presentations Must have strong collaborative work ethic Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles Responsibilities Prepares and maintains class area before and after program; organizes and puts away class equipment; reports damaged equipment Leads energizing, fun, safe and educational classes as directed by the director/coordinator, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals Ability to process, understand and respond appropriately to emergency situations Maintain quality service by following organization standards Maintain facilities and equipment in safe working order Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications Perform any other functions necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the North Penn YMCA.
